4 out of 30.

"We have to celebrate the victories." That's what Sarah said as she posted 4/30 to our door. 4 out of 30 people. Without people, you don't have a church . Without partners, your church planting mission is lonely and near impossible . And if your partners aren't missionally-minded, then we're creating a new community for all the wrong reasons : - Because I want a community to serve my needs . - Because I want to be in charge . - Because I'll finally feel important , like I'm actually doing something with my life. Missionally-minded partners in church planting might have mixed-motives (who doesn't?), but for the most part, they want to be on the team because God has called them to do this. They deeply care about the people in a particular geographic area enough to believe: this place needs a new kind of community, and I'm prepared to do what's needed to create it! 4 out of 30 people. 30 people. Because when you only have 1 or 2 people, it isn't a true reflection of your neighborhood. But 30 people bring a wide variety of gifting, race, gender, age, and experiences that will communicate to everyone else: you belong here too. As our new community grows in number, this group of 30 will grow in number, but also in depth : - Depth of character - as we learn how to lean on God and one another in this endeavor. - Depth of friendship - as we grow into a tight-knit group of partners and friends. - Depth of ability - as we discover how God made us, and the unique contributions that we bring. 4 out of 30 people. Each number is a name, a face, and a story . Each number is someone who said "yes" to joining this mission. Each number is a person who is God's answer to our prayers . God continues to answer our prayers. God continues to call people to church planting. And every time he does, it builds our trust in him. We have to celebrate the victories.

Without people, you don't have a church.
Without partners, your church planting mission is lonely and near impossible.
And if your partners aren't missionally-minded, then we're creating a new community for all the wrong reasons:

- Because I want a community to serve my needs.
- Because I want to be in charge.
- Because I'll finally feel important, like I'm actually doing something with my life.

30 people.
Because when you only have 1 or 2 people, it isn't a true reflection of your neighborhood.
But 30 people bring a wide variety of gifting, race, gender, age, and experiences that will communicate to everyone else: you belong here too.

As our new community grows in number, this group of 30 will grow in number, but also in depth:

- Depth of character - as we learn how to lean on God and one another in this endeavor.
- Depth of friendship - as we grow into a tight-knit group of partners and friends.
- Depth of ability - as we discover how God made us, and the unique contributions that we bring.

4 out of 30 people.

Each number is a name, a face, and a story.
Each number is someone who said "yes" to joining this mission.
Each number is a person who is God's answer to our prayers.

God continues to answer our prayers.
God continues to call people to church planting.
And every time he does, it builds our trust in him.

We have to celebrate the victories.
